Paul Hulewicz is a Swiss-based visual artist whose practice bridges mixed media and photography Initially rooted in street and landscape photography, his artistic path has evolved into a distinctly abstract language – where color, form, and texture serve as intuitive tools for exploring perception, ambiguity, and subconscious meaning.
Working with acrylic transfers, collage, gelli printing and painting, Paul embraces imperfection and unpredictability as expressive forces. His art investigates the interplay between construction and destruction, often drawing on the notion – articulated by Anselm Kiefer – that “the ruins are the beginning”. Inspired by both real and imagined spaces, his works reflect the fragmented beauty and underlying tension of contemporary life.
His abstract visual language has been recognized in international platforms such as Dodho Magazine, Black & White Magazine, and the Fine Art Photography Awards. His series Inspired by Unpredictable and Thank you RR exemplify
